Skilled Hard Landscaper

The Botanical Gardener is a successful design, build, maintenance and irrigation company based in South West London. The dedicated team pride themselves in offering high end horticultural and landscaping services to the company’s new and existing clients across London.

This role will involve managing builds on mainly domestic projects, delivering projects on time and on budget and communicating with both the office and the client.

As a relatively small company, this is an exciting new role with room to grow in line with the company’s growth. The successful candidate would be responsible for the day-to-day site management of the garden builds; this would include quantifying and ordering materials, liaising with the project manager and director, etc. Whilst this is a hand’s on role, it encompasses responsibility for supervising team members, agency staff and sub contractors.

The Landscaper would need to have a wide range of landscaping skills and the ability to finish all works to a high standard, including the following;

• At least 3-5 years experience in landscaping
• Confident reading design drawings, setting out gardens and levels
• Good eye for detail
• Communicating with designers both internal and external
• A strong focus on delivering high quality workmanship and demonstrating ongoing pride in every job
• Some horticulture knowledge is preferred
• Pro-active and driven to achieve goals
• Manage workload effectively, plan ahead
• Manage budgets
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively on all levels and with our project manager, director and clients
• Well presented
• Highly motivated and able to manage a team to meet deadlines
• Confident with tools and machinery
• Clean UK/EU Driving licence
• Manage the health and safety on site

Hard Landscaper/Skilled Labourer

The Botanical Gardener are looking to expand and develop the landscaping team. The position of Hard Landscaper has become available. This role will involve working with our team under the guidance of the Team Leader on mainly domestic projects, delivering projects on time and on budget.

As a relatively small company, this is an exciting new role with room to grow in line with the company’s growth.

The Landscaper would need to have a wide range of landscaping skills and the ability to finish all works to a high standard, including the following;

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in landscaping
• Good knowledge of fencing, paving and general construction
• Good eye for detail
• Able to work well in a team and take direction
• A strong focus on delivering high quality workmanship and demonstrating ongoing pride in every job
• Pro-active and driven to achieve goals
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively on all levels. Well presented
• Confident with tools and machinery

Benefits
Salary – Circa £22,500 – £25,000. Uniform provided.

Experienced Gardener

The Botanical Gardener is a rapidly growing, well respected, Design & Build, Garden Maintenance & Irrigation Company working across London on exciting projects. We are known for offering a professional all round service from dedicated gardeners.

We are looking for someone with a positive personality, a passion for horticulture and great communication skills. The position of Experienced Gardener requires the ability to work both alone and as part of a team with initiative to deal with the seasonal pressures of the job. You will be responsible for a Gardener and maintain up to 3 gardens a day, to the highest standard reflecting a sense of pride and ownership. You would also implement soft landscaping schemes for residential and commercial clients.

The successful applicant would work along side the Maintenance Manager in managing their own client base.

Applicants will require the following:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in practical amenity horticulture
• Formal horticulture qualifications are an advantage
• A passion for gardening
• A good knowledge of plants, pruning, lawn care, pest and disease identification and treatment
• A client focused attitude
• To be well presented
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

A full UK driving licence, CV and references are essential.

The Botanical Gardener is a rapidly growing, well respected, Design & Build, Garden Maintenance & Irrigation Company working across London on exciting projects. We are known for offering a professional all round service from dedicated gardeners.
If you are passionate about all things in the horticulture and bio diversity and are looking to develop and grow within a great team. We are looking for someone with experience and passion for horticulture to join our team as an Environmental consultant. The position of Environmental consultant requires the ability to work both alone and as part of a team with initiative to deal with the seasonal pressures of the job. You will assist in horticulture maintenance of up to 3 locations per day to the highest standard. Implementing soft landscaping schemes for residential and commercial clients. Implementing bio diverse planting schemes for the local areas.

Applicants will require the following:-
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in practical amenity horticulture
• Formal horticulture qualification
• A passion for Horticulture
• Demonstrable of Horticulture including plants, pruning, lawn care, pest and disease identification and treatment
• Knowledge of Bio diverse planting strategies and uses of Bio diverse treatments
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Full Clean EU driving licence

Salary – Competitive
There will be continuous training on the job, uniform and PPE.
